The BIOS (0616, at least) has an option to emulate PS/2 keyboard&mouse (since you can connect only USB ones!). It's in `AdvancedUSB Configuration` as `USB Keyboard and Mouse Simulator` Enabled/Disabled. Their description says:
"Enable this item to simulate USB keyboard and mouse to PS/2 module in Windows 7.
Ensure to install USB deriver in your system before you disable this item."
This was Disabled by default.
I don't know how this works in Windows, but in Qubes OS R4.0, although the USB parts are still being detected as normal, regardless of this option, dmesg also reports normal keyboard/mouse like this:
"
i8042: PNP: No PS/2 controller found.
i8042: Probing ports directly.
serio: i8042 KBD port at 0x60,0x64 irq 1
serio: i8042 AUX port at 0x60,0x64 irq 12
mousedev: PS/2 mouse device common for all mice
"
vs when Disabled:
"
i8042: PNP: No PS/2 controller found.
mousedev: PS/2 mouse device common for all mice
"
On another note, the TPM inside the i7-8700k can definitely be used and seen by BIOS if selected `Firmware-based Trusted Platform Modules (fTPM)` in BIOS and rebooted once.
You can add an extra `BEST CONNECTIVITY PCI-EXPRESS 2 USB FG-EU305A-2-BC01 BÕVÍTÕKÁRTYA` if you want another extra USB controller(so a third one), but don't manually set some `L0s` value in BIOS (I forget where it was, PCH - PCI Express, then the value for ASPM probably), or else the operating system won't detect it, only BIOS will.

I forgot to mention that this motherboard has a really cool feature `Q-Fan Control` which allows to keep for example both case fans turned off until the CPU temperature is at least 40 degrees Celsius (and this value can be set manually) and then you can specify how fast the fan should spin (in percentage, eg. 60% of the fan's max speed). This can be further edited in a graph with the mouse for example; so you can select multiple pairs of `temperature, fan speed` for each fan.
Cool stuff! :)

Disregard this sentence in my previous comment: "this means I cannot use Anti Evil Maid in Qubes OS" because it's wrong :) A.E.M. needs TPM(Trusted Platform Module) not PS/2 keyboard(aka non-usb keyboard).
This motherboard doesn't have a (discrete!) TPM but it has a TPM header (that is "1 x TPM connector (14-1 pin TPM)) where a TPM module (purchased separately) can be connected. I can't find any such TPM module for sale on PCX - maybe someone from PCX can email me if they appear? I'd buy :D
Here's some info about the TPM: h*****//w***tenforums.com/tutorials/36454-verify-trusted-platform-module-tpm-chip-windows-pc.html
I have not yet explored the BIOS option, that I have seen on this motherboard, which allows selecting between a `discrete TPM` (which I don't have; but it would be connected to the aforementioned TPM connector) and a `Firmware-based Trusted Platform Modules (fTPM)`. The first comment in the above link has more info on this one; following the crumbs, it seems that the fTPM is `Intel? Platform Trust Technology (Intel? PTT)` which is part of the Z370 chipset, as per this: h*****//w***intel.com/content/w***us/en/products/chipsets/desktop-chipsets/z370.html
Therefore this motherboard does have a TPM in the form of fTPM (I just haven't tested it yet to confirm). If so, then A.E.M. would work!
(The unrelated(to what I said above) PS/2 issue from before, aka non-usb keyboard remains though: Qubes will refuse to create usbVM because I'm using a usb keyboard.)
And I'm giving it 4 stars now because, when I plug in a PC Speaker (on the 4-pin Speaker header on the motherboard) or plug in actual speakers on the line-out green output from the audio on the back of the computer, or both at the same time! then what happens is that I can hear the interference of when the CPU is working in the sound output; it sounds as if you can hear a new 2TB HDD working (but I don't have a HDD installed) - the sounds are similar. It's not coil whine sounds, unless they are complex enough to sound like a working HDD. The sound/interference goes away if I disconnect both the PC Speaker and the line-out speakers! If I keep any one of them, then I can hear the noise in them. The noise is synchronized with the CPU activity and likely a side-effect of it; it does not depend on the actual disk(SSD) activity though. More info next time, if I find out more.

All specs for this motherboard are here:
h*****//w***asus.com/us/Motherboards/PRIME-Z370-A/specifications/
The only thing that I wish this motherboard had is: PS/2 keyboard & mouse ports! But, because it only has USB, this means I cannot use Anti Evil Maid in Qubes OS ... and Qubes (4.0) won't make the usb VM because I am using USB keyboard (this step is reached after install, on the first boot, when prompted to configure Qubes for the first time, when all the other template VMs are created, like firewall and net)
Is there a PCI express card that has PS/2 ports to plug in keyboard&mouse, for sale? (I cannot find on PCX (but maybe I don't know how to search for it), but if it exists, please email me PCX - I'll buy it)
Inside the BIOS, the mouse cursor movements feel a little weird, but I've never had a BIOS that had a mouse cursor before, so maybe this is true for all such BIOSes. Windows does something special that makes the mouse cursor move(and subconsciouly feel) so smooth (not even Linux can match that! even though it's far better in Linux than in this BIOS).
