The on/off switch is on the top.
The whole lamp can be lifted up at any time from its table support, while the table support remains secured in place. There seems to be a way to prevent lifting by inserting a screw (not included) into the horizontal hole of the table support but this then also prevents the lamp from turning horizontally.
The head of the lamp can be rotated on two axis, so not just up and down.
Light bulb not included (obviously).
